Pension Hubertus in Zell am See
Skiing in Zell am See
Winter in Zell am See means skiing, snowboarding, snow-shoe hikes and and and...
When you stay at Pension Hubertus you're right in the middle of Zell am See's winter wonderland! The CityXpress gondola is right in front of the house, ready to carry you up into the varied ski area of Schmittenhöhe Zell am See. The 77 excellently prepared pistes are just waiting to be discovered!
After a heavy snowfall the landscape is like the sparkling white frosting on a cake. Take in the superb views as you head for the valley on skis or board. Families, beginners or sports professionals feel equally at ease on the slopes as there are pistes for every ability. Maiskogel offers 20 km of family fun with an all-season toboggan ride and the Kitzsteinhorn glacier boasts 41 km. The glacier offers up to 10 months skiing to practise your turns!
Skiing, snowboarding or snow-shoe hikes in Zell am See
Zell am See offers a huge variety of challenging fun for the more adventurous - freeriding, freestyle, unprepared slopes with deep powder, spectacular fun parks - need we say more? Of course close by there are ski schools and equipment hire with the latest kit.
Snow-shoe hikes take you through quiet, dreamy snowscapes and skiers who tour also get their money's worth. Those new to ski-touring can try it out on Wednesday evenings on Maiskogel. Experienced tourers can explore new routes along the edge of the Kitzsteinhorn pistes. The Snow Queen route covers a difference in elevation of 474 metres while the Ice Breaker requires an impressive 900. Anyone who takes part in endurance sports will love these tours as the limited oxygen at this altitude enhances the training effect. Other exciting tours are Aufi-Owi (dialect for up and down) and Dynafit Kitzsteinhorn Extreme.
We keep all the information you need at the hotel and we're really looking forward to your stay!
